Summer Maintenance Team Update
Our annual summer employee party. This year we did it at Station 300 in Bluffton. Great team building experience . Thanks Dave! We are looking forward to a busy fall.
The winners with most pins from all 3 games. Great job Craig, Jimmy, Jake and Judd.
Chef, Judd and Josh are having fun in the arcade room.
A Classic. :)
Top dressing greens to fill in the drill and fill holes.
After VS Before we top dressed.
Victor fixing wash outs in the greenside bunkers.
#4 tee before we aerify it.
Candy is aerifying the tees on #4.
Before VS After.
Tees are all aerified.
Marcus is dragging the plugs with a steel mat to break them up.
After we dragged the tee.
Clinton is blowing the tee off with a buffalo blower to get any plugs that didn’t break up.
#4 tee is finshed.
The driving range tee is coming back slowly but surely.
Abe aerifying on #10 tee.
Our new pond on the Driving Range. NOT.
Victor is doing his best to figure out the problem. Clogged, Crushed Pipe, Pond Levels to high. Could be any of these.
We don’t mess around out here at C3.
#3 green before we drag it.
Malo dragging in top dressing sand with coco mat.
After we dragged #3 green.
#13 tees after aerification.
Abel is verticutting tees two different directions. 2-8 and 4-10.
All the tees were verticut 2-8 amd 4-10.
Clearing and cleaning out the kitchen.

Willis is rounding up all his contractors.
Painting in the locker rooms.
Fresh paint. :)
Looking good.
Everything is getting a fresh coat.
Time to top dress some approaches with greens mix 80/20.
Putting green approach before.

That’s myself dragging the plugs with a steel mat to break them up before we blow.
Da steeeel mat. :)
Pretty cool that you can see the sand from our new drainage systems we added in the 2015 re-grass.
Corey Hall checking thing out.
Before VS After I dragged.
Candy blowing plugs.
#3 fairway is finished.
Just one of the many things all superintendents don’t like to see first thing in the morning. Tree down by the green and its an important one. :(
The Live Oak next to #5 green is completely hallow and it would be a dangerous hazard to others if we didn’t re-move it.
You can see the inside of that long branch was completely hollow.
A close up of the dead branch stub.
Time to get to work.
Big daddy and crew are taking it piece by piece. Looking good.
Half way there.
Loading her up and taking it to the dump.
Just a little damage to #5 approach but not much. Thank god she missed the irrigation loop around the green.
Say goodbye to her. Estimation of age was 150 years old. Before.
After. Its wide open now.
Tree company is here because the arborist agreed it was a danger to keep up so we have to take her down. :(
One piece at a time.
Half way there.
Mike our tree guy has been doing this for 30 years and this is one of his biggest trees he done.
His biggest saw only goes half way through the trunk. This might take awhile.
One more push……..
She’s down
and :(
Its amazing to see that the whole tree was hollow already and she survived the hurricane winds of Mathew last October. WOW
Unbelievable.
That’s a monster. We will miss her.
She is gone. This will take sometime to get use to.
Top dressing all the pro-walks.
#7 tee before we top dress.
Top dressing #7 tee.
#7 tee top dressed.
Dragging all tees with coco matt to push sand down between leaf blades.
This is going to be our new on site storage unit. Great idea Bill.
New equipment is here. Thanks Dave. :)
Thanks JD and Toro
New fairway units and a 2653 for our new intermediate rough cut.
